THE GOND LEGEND

As the tale unfolds. A Gond leader who was in search of an exquisite delight for his guests, came across a Mahua tree. He noticed that birds sitting around a pit, drinking from it and making merry. When the leader drank from the pit filled with Mahua flowers, he soon drifted off into a state of joy. Since then, the delectable Mahua water has found a place of honour in the indigenous Gond people’s rituals and festivities.

The 'Madhur Mahua Gond Art Earrings' unfolds like a story, with mahua pods and graceful bird motif linked in perfect harmony, Each segment showcases the intricate beauty of traditional Gond patterns, hand-painted on wood with exquisite detail honouring the rich artistic heritage of the Gond. The earrings are encased in lustrous gold dipped brass framework, with the delicate glass beads dancing at the ends, mimicking the lightness of spirit experienced in the story. 

All pieces are crafted in India and hand painted by artists in our studio in Mumbai, under small batch production.
