THE LEGEND

Gond folklore recounts the magical discovery of the Mahua tree. A tribal leader, searching for a special treat for his guests, stumbled upon birds joyfully drinking from a pit beneath a Mahua tree. Curious, he tasted the Mahua-infused water and was instantly filled with bliss. Since that fateful day, the essence of Mahua blossoms has been cherished in Gond rituals and festivities, symbolising joy and community unity.

THE JEWELLERY

This necklace available in 3 colour-ways embodies the Mahua legend with intricate blossom motifs interlinked by collared glass beads. It reflects the Gond belief in interconnectedness, symbolising community unity and nature's joyful gifts. The piece serves as a wearable connection to Gond tradition, celebrating the harmony between people and nature.

All pieces are crafted and hand painted by artists in our studio in Mumbai, under small batch production.
