DEEPAM THEYYAM RED

The Theyyam collection draws inspiration from the ritualistic art form of North Kerala that flourishes in sacred groves known as Kaavu's. These unique spaces differ from conventional temples, featuring water tanks near the the idols surrounded by brick walls. The ritual is accompanied by high-pitched music, rhythmic percussion, the warm glow of the embers and rows of coconut oil brass lamps that illuminate the place creating a positive aura and aroma of divinity. This sacred ambiance forms the inspiration behind this piece of jewellery. Hand painted with a combination of wood on gold plated brass, embellished with glass beads these earrings are sure to light up your face and surround you with positive energy of the divine.

All pieces are crafted and hand painted by artists in our studio in Mumbai, under small batch production.
