Tithi Chirai Gond Art Earrings
Tithi Chirai Gond Art Earrings
THE GOND LEGEND
Gond folklore tells of the 'Titti Cherai', a remarkable little bird with an extraordinary resting habit. Unlike other birds, she would sleep on her back with her feet pointed skyward. The elders say she did this out of fear that the heavens might fall, threatening her eggs. By keeping her feet raised, she stood ready to protect her offspring. This small bird's devotion symbolises a mother's limitless love. Her tale, passed through generations, reminds the Gond of the strength in small creatures and the power of maternal instinct.
THE JEWELLERY
These exquisite Madhya Pradesh Gond tribal art-inspired 'Tithi Chirai Gond Art Earrings' bring to life the ancient Gond folklore of the vigilant mother bird, transforming myth into wearable art. Hand-painted with signature Gond patterns, the bird's delicate form and posture embodies eternal vigilance. Nestled beneath the watchful mother are three tiny eggs with suspended glass beads that complete the narrative. More than mere adornments, these earrings are wearable stories celebrating Gond tribal wisdom, a mother's love, and the enduring spirit of nature's small wonders.
